Station 1 Cafe @ Komtar Walk

Went to this restaurant for lunch today , had been seeing tons of advertisement of Komtar Walk (in front of komtar of coz) since their opening ceremony , so we were quite interested to take a look at it.....there are 2 restaurants out there and station 1 cafe is 1 of them , another 1 would be a branch for penang road's cendol , this restaurant serves fusion style cuisine which they offer a wide range of food such as western , chinese , malay etc......and they are non-halal cafeteria =).....so anyway , cut the crap , here are some orders of the day :P

Hot Honey Milk (rm4.90).....a very strong flavour of vanila , taste like coconut milk as well......i think they might put a few drops of vanila extract so that the flavour became so strong =(

Just an ordinary orange juice >.<.....its free if u order their set meals , and of coz , prices varies for every set meal

My cold yestea (rm4.60) , looks cool right but its just an ordinary green tea =(....anyway , comes with big bottles just as u see >.<.....not sweet at all , its quite good if u were to have a long conversation with ur frens and family =)

This is the main course for the set meal --Spaghetti Marinara (rm7.90 for a set) , also there will be a bowl of soup given for every set as well (free of coz).....taste great but there isnt any other ingredients beside the ham =( , and those ham slices are tasteless coz they deep fried it just like french fries =X.....but overall this is a pretty decent spaghetti

Their so called 'Hawaian Pizza' (rm 4.90)......taste sucks , isnt it abit pathetic for such small size pizza and this was my mom's order by the way =X

My mixed grill (rm 22.90).....comes with a HUGE portion =) which consists of lamb chop , steak , chicken chop and 2 sausages =D......everything is just perfectly grilled , taste is just awesome , there will be 3 types of sauces for u to choose as well and i chose special salad sauce , i guess the word 'special' attracted me XD.....mashed potato was just ok , salad is decent as well......i would say that its kinda cheap as the portion is really big ^^

Just some random photos regarding the komtar walk and poor mom and my little cousin bro , they became model of the day yet they donno about it XD......so there will be a 10% service charge and NO govt tax , bill totalled rm 47.90......which is a very reasonable price i think

To my colleagues in chong cheng : This would be the venue for the farewell , i decided to change to this as i felt this restaurant is really special and suitable for conversations =).....looking forward to thurs XD

Sunlee Coffee Shop @ Air Itam, Penang

Located at Air Itam (opposite CIMB bank , b4 the roundabout to Bkt. Bendera) , this coffee shop is always packed with ppl during weekends , they offer quite a lot of variety of food such as bah kut teh , mee goreng , chu char , satay , char kuey teow etc......however , among those , we found that their bak kut teh is the most special among all as well as their chu char......others werent that impressive , so here are some photos :

Bah Kut Teh ,which comes with a small little bowl of 'yau char kuey'......very strong flavour of chinese herbal and some fragrance of special spices......pretty good i would say , not so oily for this stall's bak kut teh and u can always ask them to refill the soup for u =)......the yam rice was aromatic as well......full with yam cutlets which the flavour of the yam fused with the rice...imagine that XD....also , who can eats yam rice without garlic @.@ right ?

The 'mee sua kow' from the chu char stall (rm4.50 for 1 person's serving)....the texture is kinda similar to shark fin's soup.....it would be even nicer if u serve it with some vinegar....as it brings out the flavour more =D.....there were prawns and crabmeats flakes inside(don expect them to be damn big though).....and this is also 1 of the best mee sua kow i had found in town so far =)

Yea , i know the quality is kinda poor as my hands were shaky , my parents ran away when i was shooting this photo...lol....i should take my time as the car key was with me >.<

Sai Kong Hui

Located near citibank , the road (transfer road) that opposite the KWSP building , there is a coffee shop where its age is older than mine ..>.<....its famous of its nyonya style dishes....and the prices are quite cheap......anyway , these are the orders of the day :

Fried beansprouts with salted fish.....the fragrance of the salted fish fused with the crunchy beansprouts.....crunchy and fragrant in short ......lol

Assam Prawn......prawns were quite fresh......taste was a bit salty and sourish.....truely a very unique nyonya dish.....

Fried 'lala' in 'tau pan sauce'......a bit spicy and the 'tau pan' sauce was damn salty.....the 'lalas' were too small in size, ended up like the texture that is supposed to be found in 'lala' has disappeared......was kinda disappointed with this 1 though

Curry Fish Head......taste was pretty decent , my mom likes this more than the 1 in juru but i would prefer that 1 as u can barely find some meat here.....taste was more to sourish-spicy....fish head was fresh too......everything is just fine =)

Inche kabin.....nothing much to mention , crunchy and aromatic , love it =D

Even their coffee shop has that 'nyonya' feeling as its damn long and narrow......bill totalled up 53 which includes 3 plates of rice , 3 beverages......cheap ei

The White House Coffee House @ Times Square Penang

Had lunch in this coffee house and once again, i would like to complain that the parking there is terribad.....nearly fainted as they changed some of the parking routes....@.@.... anyway , i tried this so called coffee house few months ago in 1 of the outing with wei xen in BJ complex ,went again as my mom din try b4......and i was quite shocked that they changed their menu and had some quality control (i supposed) , the taste went greater than b4.....so here are some orders of the day :

Nasi Dagang (rm9.30) , they called it donno wat east coast rice thingy in their menu......rice was kinda chewy , and the curry damn fragrant......works perfectly well with the rice and the keropok =D

Tom Yam Seafood Noodles(rm8.80)......taste was superb.....seafood was quite fresh as well.....the sourish and spicy taste fused well in the soup......a pretty good tom yam i would say....serving was rather small though

Chicken Bolognese Spaghetti (rm8.30).....the sauce was actually kinda 'cheesy'....i think they mixed quite a lot of cheese inside , pretty aromatic though.....pasta was decent but i would prefer more 'chewy' pasta.........=( My mom ordered a mi koh moi ( a kind of desert mixed with glutinuos rice and some coconut milk )some as well but her speed was too fast , cant manage to shoot the mi koh moi b4 she dig in >.<.....taste was quite good according to her ....

Their sits were rather packed together , i would have trouble if i gain like another 30 kg >.<.....not a good chatting place , as if u wanna tell some secrets (esp aunties), ppl sitting beside/behind u would eventually heard wat u said....=P anyway , bill totalled up rm32.90.....inclusive of 10% service charge

Sakae Sushi @ Queensbay Mall, Penang

Met up with wei xen just now after the bloody school meeting for talking nonsense.....wei xen suggested we go for sakae sushi , some sort of afternoon buffet promotion (rm27.90) but rm22.90 for students and EAT ALL U CAN !!! *roar*........but wat u can eat is just sushi , sushi and sushi , some soba though according to wei xen.......very short post as we were like keep eating sushi,sushi and sushi......

Salmon belly......its a MUST order in sakae(according to wei xen)......but frankly speaking , the salmon is really DAMN fresh.....sweetness...XD......and he was like ate about 20 pieces of salmon belly sushi ?

This is 1 of my favourite.....donno wat kind of eggs izit....>.<....not sure with the name as well.....i ate a lot of this !!!....=P

Smoked salmon.......not bad though....at least better than some i'd eaten b4

Aside from taking from the Kaiser belt , u can also place ur order using that bloody comp.....wei xen sure ordered a lot of rounds >.<

70% belongs to wei xen , he built this so called 'twin-tower'....hes a MONSTER.....i couldnt eat much as i ate my lunch just now b4 the school meeting.....all the plates belong to the salmon belly actually......btw , u cant order sushi with red colour plate nor black colour.....so far i found its damn worth as we counted , we ate like rm 132 if according to the usual price......>.<

Azuma Restaurant @ Queensbay Mall

Had lunch with mom as usual.....went Azuma since they kinda 'hard-sell' the restaurant everywhere......and im sort of running out of ideas for my food post XD.....finally this day has arrived.....anyway , these are some orders :

Just simply snatch some sushi from the Kaiser belt XD b4 the main course to arrive.....taste was pretty decent , better than sushi king's i would say....and they were kinda exp , white plate-rm2 ,blue plate-rm5 , and the greenish plate-rm4 @.@ , here goes my rm13 as i ordered 2 white plates thingy.....and for the pic below , the Kaiser belt is just behind the counter and their interior decoration is just simply amazing , too bad they are not edible

My mom's unagi set (rm28) , their unagi is kinda dry , we prefer the moist version....=P...taste was pretty decent , miso soup was impressive....everything is just fine except for the price T.T

My chicken teriyaki set (Rm18)......taste was very 'chicky'....lol....nothing special , just some fried chicken served with some sort of sweet and sour sauce....and the steamed egg is really impressive...so smooth and aromatic....1 of the best ever =)......

Why would i mention about their drinks ? Coz they are free-flowed =D.....pay for rm1 and u can drink for like 2 hours XD.....aunties action ei......so bill totalled up rm67+ inclusive of govt tax and service charge.......which its DAMN EXP just for some ordinary bento.....

Bukit Mertajam's Rojak (Bukit Kecil)

Many ppl tot BM's famous rojak is from the pekan , but according to KW , this stall of rojak is even better than the 1 in pekan...and its very special in terms of the venue where the stall is and the materials to cope with the rojak sauce , they use fish cakes and some cucuk udang instead......however , fresh fruits are also available ....ppl in BM tend to choose those fried food as their main option , my parents opposed that , they prefer fresh food , so i guess its a personal choice....anyway , this is how the stall looks like :

This is how they sell the rojak , its in 'satay-form' or rather 'lok-lok-form'.....u can choose to enjoy ur rojak there by standing there and dip ur choice of rojak into the sauce...but taking hygiene in account , we prefer to take away instead =P....do pay attention at those fried food on the left hand side.....those are the specialties of the stall which we cant find any in penang....and they are generous in giving the rojak sauce.....until they fill up the whole container >.<.....taste was pretty decent though....also , the price for each stick of rojak is rm0.50 which i find it very economical

Juru Curry Fish Head @ Juru

Went BM today ,should i call it a 'BM 1-day-tour ?'...lol.....this is part 1....so first stop is juru's famous curry fish head , no idea wats the name of the coffee shop , they simply called it juru curry fish head....there are other stalls as well but ppl tend to eat the curry fish head only , here are some photos about the curry ....

Pictures werent that much as the only food on our table was this curry fish head ....serve with white rice , there were also toufu , squids , gigantic size of prawns , lady's fingers , onions etc inside the curry......taste was damn good....and they werent greedy in giving the curry sauce.....fish head was fresh and same goes to other seafood as well....

Its hard to find this place , some where behind auto city i think.....u have to go through those factories road etc......was kinda cheap , such a gigantic fish head just costs us rm69 !!! and with 3 big squids and prawns......XD
