OoriDoori is a well-known Korean restaurant that has been around since 2021 and has continued to expand and steadily to attract a loyal clientele over the past 2 years. The latest expansion plan at Gurney Walk allows those in the neighborhood to experience the essence of South Korean comfort dishes. OoriDoori has also rolled out its newly revamped menu, featuring more than 70 South Korean delights. The restaurant is manned by a South Korean family which ensures all the ingredients, flavors are according to the South Korean standards. This modern Korean restaurant is both elegant and cozy, most suitable for casual meet ups, gatherings or even quick fix.

Adding more flavors to the latest lifestyle mall in Penang- Gurney Walk as the mall welcomes a new F&B tenant: Havana Kitchen which specializes in dishing out South Indian delights. Expect to see heavy-spices on the menu with regional delights from Kerala, Tamilnadu, Chettinad, Andhra and Karnataka etc. When it comes to South Indian cuisine, one should expect heavy spicy kick and bold chili heat; Havana Kitchen seeks to bring authentic South Indian flavors to Penang. San By The Three Wines at Gurney Walk may seem like a curious little wine retailer but in actual fact, it is a full-fledged restaurant that serves a European-Mediterranean menu. The concept here is a little different as compared to its sister restaurant- The Three Wines at Bay Avenue where the place is more wine-focused (more classic wine labels). San By The Three Wines at Gurney Walk on the other hand, has a bigger food menu and carries natural wine labels. On the food menu, San By The Three Wines offers an array of premium ingredients (including Wagyu and Oysters), small plates and mains.

Bread lovers should not be new to the name- Yin's Sourdough Bakery, the brand has strong presence across the Penang state and has recently expanded its business operations to the central region. For the uninitiated, Yin's had a humble start as a bakery and it slowly expands its food offering to introduce more mains and desserts... even roasting their own Coffee beans now. But one thing does not change- their menu is still Sourdough-based with many healthy options. The branch Gurney Walk occupies a prominent lot, right next to the main entrance to the community hub. While most of the offering is similar to other branches, this particular outlet focuses more on healthy fermented products like Kombucha or Kefir. It also has a bigger spread of Pastries and classic loaves due to the demand in the neighborhood. It is also noteworthy that the menu has got many options for those practicing plant-based diet.

Wild Pink Fish @ Gurney Walk, Penang.

Not to be confused with the Wild Pink Fish in New World Park, the outlet at Gurney Walk Penang offers a very different menu. The outlet at Gurney Walk Penang dishes out quality and affordable Japanese dishes, their Sushi is known for its value for money and undeniably popular amongst the white-collar workers. Dine-in guests would be glad to know that Wild Pink Fish offers a casual environment with "Sushi Bar-like" seating. The menu is a little limited but for diners who wish for a special menu, it can be arranged accordingly. With a special request, an "Izakaya-style" dinner menu featuring A5 Wagyu, Toro Sashimi etc can be customized depending on the budget (min of 3 pax is required). For the special dinner menu, diners can bring their own alcohol beverages with no extra corkage fee. Wild Pink Fish at Gurney Walk can be found on Ground Floor, right next to CUEVA; visitors can park their car at the multi-storey car park or the underground car park, with entrance from Ascott Gurney Hotel.

Cocoon + Kids Cafe @ Gurney Walk, Penang.

Right in the heart of Gurney Drive, the newly opened community lifestyle mall- Gurney Walk welcomes a new spate of tenants and amongst the new joiners, Cocoon + Kids Cafe is one of them. Unlike the first venture by the group- Cocoon Glamping (established in 2018) at Vantage Tanjong Tokong, Cocoon + Kids Cafe has a different approach. Cocoon Glamping is more like a space for kids to experience indoor picnic and it has smaller menu; Cocoon + Kids Cafe at Gurney Walk on the other hand, is more like a cafe with mini playground for the kids. The menu is bigger here with Asian-Western options; apart from having a leisure walk at the mall, the adults can also enjoy a peaceful meal and grab some quality time while the kids are safely occupied. This is particularly inline with Cocoon + Kids Cafe's tagline: "We Sell Time".  The indoor play areas include a foam pit, mini picnic area, small reading corner, mini gym and slides. 

It is noteworthy that Cocoon + Kids Cafe at Gurney Walk caters for private parties as well, a minimum spend of RM2,500 is required. Do check out their party packages at the bottom of this entry. Socks are mandatory (for both adults and children) for entry to the playland due to hygiene purposes. The cafe serves no Pork and reservation is highly encouraged (especially on weekends). ML Tea Garden @ Gurney Walk, Gurney Drive, Penang.

A new venture by the Fat Mona Lisa group- ML Tea Garden focuses on serving light bites like Dim Sum or pastries in the brand new commercial building- Gurney Walk. ML Tea Garden does not occupy a shop but instead, it takes up a small space on the second floor of Gurney Walk... accommodating limited tables. Menu-wise, it has a small pork-free Dim Sum menu with some Pau, Noodle options; pastries and cakes are also available at the display counter. Not a place for absolute taste but a comfortable spot for brief catch up over quality Tea and inexpensive small bites.
