[Hotel Review] DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang @ Batu Ferringhi, Penang.

A short 15 minute-drive away from the bustling Georgetown, this newly refurbished resort located at the Northern island offers a pleasant refuge after a hectic day exploring the heritage city. The resort faces the beach while the other sides are surrounded by serene greens. The 316-room and suite resort is the only resort under Hilton's group in Penang. All rooms are equipped with modern facilities with majority of them feature private balcony and partial/ full sea views. The modern resort can be a good choice either for a quick family getaway or brief business stay; it has answers to all your requirements- fitness center, swimming pool, spa center, business meeting rooms and a ballroom. For those who wish to be closer to nature, simply walk across the overhead bridge to 'Miami Beach' of Batu Ferringhi. Also, the resort is home to Malaysia's first teddy bear-themed museum, TeddyVille (hotel guests get to enjoy discounts). It's also note worthy that the resort provides complimentary shuttle to tourist attractions in Georgetown and Batu Ferringhi.

[Hotel Review] Royal Halong Hotel @ Ha Long, Vietnam.

With myriad of options available, it can be overwhelming just to decide where to stay at Ha Long. If you have a little more budget, you should definitely try out Royal Halong Hotel. Right smack in Bai Chai, the 5-star premium hotel is near to most tourist attractions and food outlets; the hotel has full-fledged facilities that would keep you occupied even if you decided not to step out the building. We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Ha Long and paid a little less than Rm 300 per night per room (promo rate). For what we received, we thought it was a pretty good deal.

2 Day 1 Night Guide to Explore Resorts World Genting, Pahang.

Resorts World Genting, or commonly known as Genting Highlands, is one of the famous and well-received hill resorts in Malaysia. The hill resort at  6,000 feet above sea level  and enjoys chilly weather all year long; just less than an hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur, the resort is often the famous spot for a quick weekend getaway for most families. The group announced plans to redevelop the place earlier and now, the place has a completely new face and transformation. First of its major development plans include Sky Avenue, a lifestyle shopping mall, Genting Premium Outlet and the most anticipated 20th Century Fox Theme Park; the theme park falls under the later phase (expected to be complete in 1st Quarter of 2018) but Sky Avenue and Genting Premium Outlets have recently opened its doors to the public, adding a variety of fashion retails, food & beverages and various entertainments to the resorts. Choosing where to go or what to do may be a little overwhelming, hopefully this guide may give you some ideas for your next trip.

Buri Sriphu Boutique Hotel @ Hatyai, Thailand.

Frequent travelers would understand the importance of a good hotel, that could provide absolute comfort to the trip as well as a place to recharge after a tiring day out. On our recent road trip to Hatyai, Thailand; we were fortunate to have Buri Sriphu Boutique Hotel to host us. The hotel is centrally located at Hatyai yet without the bustling-noise that one would usually associate with; it is the most convenient if you are driving (the hotel has ample parking space for hotel guests) but if you are not, there are plenty of public transportation that you could opt for either. The service provided to us was top-notch but we did not expect less from the land of smiles....

Family Getaway- Stay at Corner Suite, Victory Annexe @ Eastern & Oriental Hotel (E&O Hotel), Penang.

The new wing of Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang, named Victory Annexe; house a total of 122 sea-view suites which include 117 superior suites (55 square meters) and 5 corner suites (123 square meters). I was invited to a complimentary 2 Days 1 Night stay, together with my parents at their Corner Suite of Victory Annexe for a family getaway. It was indeed, an enjoyable and memorable stay for the three of us.
