My Travel Itinerary to Hokkaido (北海道), Japan (日本).

Hokkaido (Japan) has always been my favorite place to visit in Japan (read my previous entry here)- there is a perfect balance of the Japanese country side scene as well as the bustling city view. Ever since my previous trip there, I've always wanted to revisit Hokkaido and I've finally found the right timing do so (I flew Air Asia, directly from KLIA2 to Sapporo's Chitose Airport). Having been to Hokkaido, I've learnt that the best way to travel across the prefecture is to drive. 

We rented ours via Times Car Rental- the prices seemed to cheaper as compared to bigger brands. We were skeptical at first but glad that it turned out well. The service rendered was amazing- the processes were well-explained and everything went very smooth. The car condition could not be better. We highly recommend this car rental company. 

Why did we pick Summer to visit Hokkaido? There are so many things to do in Hokkaido during Summer- lovely weather (average temperature of 15 to 24 degree Celsius) with longer day time with colorful scenery. There are plenty of outdoor activities to partake as well. When it comes to driving, we need not worry about the icy, slippery condition. Kani Honke (螃蟹本家) @ Susukino. Sapporo, Hokkaido.

Hokkaido is famous for its fresh and quality seafood; while visiting local fish markets is a must, we took the opportunity to visit one of the most renown crab specialists in Sapporo on our recent visit to Hokkaido. Kani Honke (螃蟹本家) has a few branches across Japan and the branch we visited was somewhere near to our hotel at Susukino Train Station. Approximately  a 10-minute walk from Susukino Train Station, Kani Honke is very easy to locate, due to its tall and eye-catchy signage. The english-friendly restaurant has a very useful website, with description and prices written clearly (the website will be updated frequently too). The restaurant has a few floors and we were ushered to the third floor by a hospitable staff. We were invited to a private room with traditional Tatami setting which seats up to 4 person; lunch was a resounding success and we enjoyed the meal thoroughly. A worth-dropping by place if you are in the vicinity.

Sapporo, Hokkaido is definitely one of the most memorable and fun destinations for my entire Japan trip. The relatively quiet town has breath-taking views, fresh air and many more exciting tourist attractions for your entertainment.
