Cafe hopping is not really a famous thing to do at Bukit Tambun, the fishing village is seafood paradise known for an insane amount of seafood restaurants but what if I told you that you could have both in one go? O House Station Cafe is both a cafe and a seafood restaurant, it promotes home-styled seafood dishes yet in a cafe setting. The quaint cafe is a stone's throw distance away from the junction near Simpang Ampat and Batu Kawan (entrance to Bukit Tambun) and has an old-school, classic interior decor. Do not expect the usual cafe fare here, it offers home-cooked delights and seasonal seafood offering. While simple rice and noodle dishes are commonly ordered here, their seafood dishes are not to be forsaken. They are subject to availability (supply of seafood). Ask the friendly proprietor on the freshest produce of the day and she will be able to recommend a few; make your reservation in advance if you have anything specifically in mind otherwise.

Angkiki Steamboat Hot Pot @ Anson Park, Georgetown, Penang.
Despite the roaring steamboat restaurants mushrooming in Penang, one still finds it tough to find a cheap and good steamboat place especially if you wish to cut through the novelties and get straight down to the solid basics. The opening of Angkiki Steamboat is definitely a good news to local foodies. Expect no classy setting nor very cozy ambiance but rather, it is housed within a very simple and no-frills hawker center along Anson Road. Angkiki Steamboat provides unabashed steamboat packages at very affordable prices. Their specialties are their soup bases- Nyonya Assam Pedas and Tom Yum which are carefully designed to suit the locals' palates. Wallet-friendly, ample parking space, worth-trying soup bases, aplenty choices are some of the reasons why this place is worth a look.
Many Thanks to Angkiki Hot Pot for extending the invitation

Mimi's SL Coffee House @ Wisma Central, Macalister Road, Penang.
Hidden in one of the buildings at Macalister Road, Mimi's SL Coffee House is rather obscure to the public due to its hidden location. One might not even realize that there's such an eatery set within the building. Mimi, the lady owner of the eatery, has many years of experiences in cooking some of their infamous Nyonya dishes namely Assam Laksa, Nasi Ulam and Assam Pedas with Nasi Ulam and Assam Pedas being some of the popular choices by regulars. The availability of the few special dishes changes daily; due to the high demand and low quantity, reservation is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. Wisma Central is the building beside New Lane and opposite to Lye Peng Travel Agency. To reach Mimi's SL Coffee House, walk in from the front entrance of Wisma Central and turn left on your first turning, walk straight and proceed with a left turn followed by a right turn. You should be able to see some tables around the area, Mimi and her staff will attend to you shortly.
