Checking-In to the Hotel:
It is easy to miss the check in concierge, from the main entrance, the check in counter is on the left. Checking in to the hotel was a breeze to us, despite the peak time and travel season, the hotel team has managed the crowd well. It did not take us long to check in the hotel and got our room keys.
Hotel Room:
The hotel offers 453 contemporary designed guest rooms and suites that make you feel at home; with Deluxe Room starts from 28 sqm to the biggest Presidential Suite at 143 sqm. Each room is well equipped with a smart workspace, a smart TV with a soundbar for your music and high-speed WiFi connectivity. The huge and comfortable super King-sized bed is perfect for recharge, the in-room amenities are also well-considerate. One can just walk in without bringing any amenities as all are provided. Lucky for us- we even got ourselves towel swan, a nice gesture to welcome us into the room.

Work Out at the FIT Centre (Gym):
For the fitness enthusiast or those who simply want to stay in shape, check out Amari SPICE Penang's FIT Centre. Hotel guests have 24-hour access to the FIT Centre (good for those who come back late or need to start the day super early). It is fully equipped with a range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength training machines. What I personally like about the FIT Centre is the place is well-spaced, offering good privacy for those who wish to quietly work out. Extra touches like Towels, complimentary Green Apples or Drinking Water are some of the plus points too. The Treadmills and Exercise Bikes are all facing the swimming pool so apart from releasing your stress out in the form of sweat, you will also be welcomed by a great view.

Right opposite to FIT Centre on the 5th Floor at Amari SPICE Penang is Breeze Spa, a contemporary spa retreat where you can elevate your experience and rejuvenate your soul. Make A Splash at the Salt Water Pool:
Do not give Amari SPICE Penang's Salt Water Pool a miss when you are staying in the hotel. The outdoor salt water swimming pool offers a great view by overlooking at the stunning roof garden (connecting to SPICE convention centre). It is best go take a dip in the late afternoon as the morning breeze can be quite chilly. After a swim at the pool, you can also opt for a refreshing drink (like cold-pressed juices, blended smoothies or cocktails) or light bites at Aqua Bar, right next to the swimming pool. Imagine a beautiful moment of soaking in the sun setting ambiance over a refreshing drink and continues through evening; a perfect way to unwind.
Cozy Lobby Lounge- Cascade:
Cascade can be found near the main entrance to Amari SPICE Penang, a stone's throw distance away from the check-in concierge. The chic, cozy lobby lounge offers light meals and afternoon teas during the day time and by night, it transforms into a stylish wine lounge with an excellent selection of the world of wines; making it a perfect venue for casual meetings or even a quick catch up over drinks before dinner.
Amari SPICE Penang offers great connectivity to the busy MICE Venue- SPICE Convention Centre. From Cascade, simply walk for a couple of minutes and you will reach an elevator with a path leading to the convention centre. If you are staying over for any conferences, exhibitions or meetings, you can have a quick drink to recharge at Cascade or arrange your casual meetings at the same place.
Roof Garden:
Amari SPICE Penang shares the same Rooftop Garden as SPICE Penang, the park is accessible via the hotel's 4th floor. Those who prefer to work out outdoor can go for a casual jog at the 6-acre roof garden. It is also fit for a romantic, after-dinner evening walk. But do note that the park is also open to the public, from 6 am to 10 pm.

DO NOT miss the hotel's buffet breakfast, there is an old saying- breakfast like a King and Amari SPICE Penang is feeding their hotel guests well. There are plenty of options in their buffet breakfast, from the usual Western options to local delights. We were spoilt for choices- we could not decide what to pick since it was quite early in the morning and we were already overwhelmed with all the breakfast options. Everything was fresh and expertly cooked, none of them disappoint. Our favorite goes to their Bircher Muesli- a creamy concoction with Raisins, Oats, Granny Smith Apples and a touch of Cinnamon. We topped it up with some Almonds and Walnuts from the condiment section for the extra nuttiness.
Amaya Food Gallery is an all-day dining restaurant, it is the place where the hotel serves its buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant has an open-kitchen concept where you will get to witness the live kitchens bustling with local Chefs and the aroma of delectable Asian delights. For those who prefer a more outdoorsy and garden setting, they can enjoy the food at the alfresco seating area.
