T-Bowl Concept Restaurant @ Queensbay Mall, Penang

Located at queensbay mall ,lvl4 , outside GSC cinema ,the word 'T' in the restaurant's name defines as 'toilet' , yes , u heard me right , its toilet and i believe that penangite should be quite familiar with this restaurant......so basically everything in this restaurant is related to toilet(nt the food of coz) , i shall not tell too much and let the pics tell u =) :

And if u wish to dine in in this restaurant , u will be asked to sit on toilet bowls ,lol =D , to be honest , i don really like sitting on toilet bowls , they are not comfortable at all , at least compared to the one in my house =P

So these are the creative deco in the restaurant , bathtub and sinks around u when u are having ur meal......hmm............

Tom Yum seafood ramen (rm11.90) sitting on a toilet bowl XD , taste was pretty good actually , spiciness and sourness was ok and the portion was damn big , my classmate barely can finish hers off and they have 2 big prawns inside , and of coz , other seafood as well =)

This is their signature dish , chicken rice coated with cheese (rm13.90) , taste was pretty decent , esp the sauce , it works well with the whole dish

Grape floss sponge mellow (rm6.90) , nothing special , just blended ice coated with some grape syrup and topped with a scoop of ice cream(with some chic floss on top) , the syrup was a bit sweet and sourish , and i think the adding of chic floss to the ice cream is to add a special dimension to the texture , pretty interesting though

Dragon Fruit sponge (rm7.90) , this is pretty special though , its not ordinary ice , i think its made from milk or has some vanila extract in it or so , as it has a very strong milky taste and vanila flavour , the syrup was nothing but sweet , still good enough though , highly recommended =)
A shitty dish , isnt that cute or wat ? =)

There is no govt tax but there will be a 5% service charge added to ur bill , most of the serving portion in this restaurant was kinda big and the taste was pretty decent (at least to wat we had ordered) , try it out folks =)

Xuan Xin Buffet Steamboat @ Tanjung Tokong, Penang

Located at tanjung tokong , xuan xin buffet steamboat is a rather economical restaurant for such quality buffet steamboat.....their variety for the steamboat ingredients isnt that great but they have some other special services/food such as grilling of meat , free flow of drinks and ice cream and even rojak(mixed fruits with some specially made sauce)etc.......

Basically there are 4 types of soup base u can choose from , congee , tom yum , chicken stock etc , we chose the congee and tom yum

Their congee is simply tasty......with some self-added seafood in it , the soup immediately turned tastier after some boiling , esp with tonnes of shrimps and crabs.....highly recommende u guys to try this on =D

Their tom yum was just so so , lvl of spiciness and sour-ness were below my expectations , still good if u put in tonnes of shrimps XD(even plain water is nice to drink if its boiled with tonnes of shrimp)

Most of their ingredients are fresh too , the crabs are the main character for this whole steamboat thing as they really can lighten the whole soup base up ^^

Rojak made by me , im kinda artistic isnt it =D , anyway , their sauce was superb , belum try belum tau , kalau try , hari hari mahu =)

lol , wrong focus at this pic , it was ice lemon tea(free flow) , nt too sweet , suits me well as its nt that fattening =D
Xuan Xin Buffet Steamboat
Address : No 101 , jln tanjung tokong georgetown
Their services and the food were great however , wat annoyed me was there was a waiter , prohibiting me from taking photos from the food , wasnt that stupid enough , i blog about their restaurant for free but he actually stopped me from doing wat i like and wat benefits his restaurant.....noob !

Kampachi Japanese Restaurant(revisit)

So my previous post on kampachi restaurant wasn't impressive enough due to my suck-ish camera , so i'll post it up again since i visited this restaurant again for their buffet dinner where my dad's company held its annual dinner here , so again, kampachi restaurant is located in equatorial hotel penang , so here are some 'better' quality pictures , lol :

As u can see , there were 6 kinds of sashimi available at the sushi bar , tuna , salmon , squid etc.......and most importantly , they were damn fresh.....slightly dip them into soya sauce with some wasabi will be awesome =)

The reason for having dinner here is for their oysters , lol ..........their oysters are famous of being fresh and sweet , u wont get urself 1 if u don act fast , lol.......a little bit of Tabasco sauce and couple drops of lemon juice will be prefect to go with this ^^
Baby lobsters or so called crayfish or something.......pretty decent , like normal prawns , but very fresh though
BBQ chicken wings with some sort of sauce........pretty crunchy in the outer layer and tender inside , but its abit too sweet for me though

Soft shall crab in california roll........u wont find these in the displaying tray outside , instead , u need to ask them to make 1 for u at the sushi bar......btw , i requested them to put more salmon roe on it =D

Tempura.....their tempuras were freshly fried and they have a wide selection which they have fish other than vege and prawns , i like their fish , very crunchy on the outside but the meat was tender , u don have to dip anything to enjoy them if they are fresh enough, though some ppl prefer to dip them in soya sauce
I believe every lady on earth favours desert , as one being said , women always has a second stomach for desert ,and kampachi offers tempting desert and most importantly , they werent too sweet

Butter cake pudding or something like that , it has a pretty heavy buttery flavour , works well with a spoonful of melted custard on top =)

Some sort of soya milk pudding i think , tastes decent , not too sweet

These were my attempts , the greenish thing was some sort of green tea pudding , but the texture sucks , so soft.......others were quite well though , esp the tiramisu(the left most creamy thing)........its like tiramisu with cheese cake and the cream did a great job here
Some strawberry mousse......sour but kinda sweet , don really like the texture , its like chewing foam as we all know mousse is made from cream and eggs
Chocolate cream puff and strawberry cheese cakes were decent , ntg special
Was too full to try others , they still have free flow ice cream , cold noodles(soba or ramen) , japanese fried rice , sukiyaki , teriyaki etc......just in case u cant see it , price for a person for dinner is rm86++ whilst lunch buffet is at rm46++ per person but do note that there isnt any lobsters , oysters nor california roll available =) and lastly, 読書のおかげで みなさん ^^

Union Wan Ton Mee @ Burmah Road, Penang

Located beside Union primary school , this wan ton mee stall has been selling for years , i remembered when i was still a union boy , i used to visit this stall frequently together with parents after they fetched me home........so here are some pictures about the stall :

This is actually another 1 of the best wan ton mee in town , the noodles are quite spongy but wat i wanna stress about is their sauce , its so unique and fragrant , and they even put some mushrooms on the noodle =)...........simple yet tasty

Another awesome thing about this stall is their wan ton , the fillings are fresh and sweet , and the soup is just amazing.....highly recommended ^^

So after some heavy or rather oily noodle/dumplings , a plate of green vegetables just refresh ur taste buds , and they did a great job in boiling these vegetables as we all know , vegetables are hard to boil (might be too soft or the colour of the vege might faded)as controlling the timing requires experience , and this plate of vege is still crispy and greenish =)

So its located beside union primary school in burmah road , and theres also a 'apom balik' stall beside this wan ton mee stall as well , u might heard of this stall b4 from our famous food hunting show on 8TV-ho chiak.....so u can still take away a couple of apom balik back once u finished the wan ton me if u are still not full enough =)

Annabelle's Place @ Tanjung Bungah, Penang

Had lunch or rather high tea with mom just now , decided to check out this restaurant as we read it from a magazine introducing this restaurant , and it looks interesting from the picture in that magazine,so its located in the permai's area ( near to TARC college) , less than 5 mins from TARC college i would say , they serve english tea and some cakes mainly but they do serve some pasta and a couple of western food as well.........so below are our attempts on this restaurant :

Their cups are beautiful arent they , but too bad , they are not edible , XD , we tried on their early grey and english breakfast tea......taste alike to me though, but we were told that the tea was imported from london ,but too bad , i never like these kind of things b4 though =P

Heres the main character of the day , donno wat this thing is called , i just know that whenever u went for a high tea , this thing must appear on the table , lol , the lowest layer shall be eaten first , and the top will be the last , this serving is for 2 person btw (rm35.90 including the drinks--tea)

The first layer consists of 2 sandwiches and 2 slices of cakes , sandwiches were tuna and cheese , cakes were cheese cake and fruit cake , cheese cake was kinda moist and smooth , fruit cakes were a bit too sweet for me but still good enough though , the cream that layered the fruit cake was superb , i think its made of cheese =D
Layer 2 has 2 scones with 2 choices of jam , the scones were awesome , fluffy texture works well with the home-made jam , strawberry and the other was some sort of cheesy jam with heavy buttery taste

The last layer has some fresh fruits , a couple of dried peach and 4 cookies.....cookies were crunchy and has a strong buttery flavour , a bit sweet though

My seafood spicy olio pasta (rm19.90) , the seafood were fresh , esp the prawns , they were just perfectly cooked , using the aroma of spices , chilies and garlics , together they created a very special dimension and the texture of the pasta is just perfect too , highly recommend this =O

As u can see ,the interior design of this restaurant is very "english-style" as the lady owner was previously studying in england for 3 years , the environment was rather good as well , suitable for chit-chatting with frens =D

This restaurant is facing a children's playground(casa permai's area) , there is NO tax or service charge at all , prices are at nett price =)
