A popular cafe in the Tasek Mutiara neighborhood- Shorty Cafe has been around for quite some time, the food menu features a wide variety of food choices, from light meals to mains (like Pasta) and even desserts. Seats are comfortably spaced and the cafe is well equipped with air-conditioners, so it is generally a comfortable space to enjoy a quick meal or have casual meet ups over desserts and coffee. Items are reasonably priced, worth checking out if you are in the vicinity.
We visited the place after lunch so we did not feel like ordering any heavy mains. We had some of their desserts though. The Real-Miss U contained Kahlua (alcohol) but it was not moist enough to our liking. We prefer our Tiramisu to be completely soaked in Coffee Liqueur. We enjoyed their Pandan Kaya French Toast though- we thought the French Toast was fluffy-soft, likely soaked in Milk before frying but the texture was good. The Pandan Kaya was sufficient to give its distinctive flavor and sweetness. The Taro Mochi Mochi was okay too- addictively chewy and worked well with the cream with a touch of salty essence as well as the Oreo Cookie crumbs. Not so much on the Taro flavor but the overall combo worked... and not complaining for a mere Rm 13.80.
