Andrée Restaurant-Brasserie @ Kek Chuan Road, Georgetown, Penang.

Introducing Andrée Restaurant-Brasserie, a charming new French restaurant in the heart of Georgetown. The French restaurant is manned by a skilled French Chef, offering an exquisite selection of French bourgeois cuisine. Though not extensive, the menu features many classic French home-cooking dishes, from starters to mains and desserts. Do not expect a cheap meal here, expect to pay at least RM80 per pax here if you wish to savor a full-course meal. Nevertheless, we were very impressed and happy with our dining experience. Definitely a place worth checking out if you are up for a French meal.

Slow-Cooked Chicken Breast with Morel Sauce (RM58)

Potato Gratin as Side Dish (RM 21)

Rigatoni Pasta (RM 51)

Crepe Suzette (RM22)

Citrus Juice- RM13.90

Baguette with Bordier Butter

Amuse Bouche- Carrot and Beet Root Cream Tartelettes

We started off with complementary Amuse Bouche of Carrot and Beetroot Cream Tartelettes, the Beetroot Cream even had bits of Blue Cheese on top for the exotic savory touch. We were then served with a fresh Baguette and Bordier Butter, definitely a great start to a French meal. For main, we decided to go for their Slow-Cooked Chicken Breast with Morel Sauce which was a great choice! We love the creamy Morel sauce with bold earthy flavor. It was nicely seasoned and worked well with the fork-tender Chicken Breast. We also had a top up for the Potato Gratin but unfortunately, it was not our favorite. We thought it could have been better seasoned. Something unusual, we had the Rigatoni Pasta. The Pasta was expertly cooked to the right al-dente texture, so perfect that I found the texture addictive! The sauce was a little too creamy to my liking but since we were sharing the dish, thought it was okay... would be too monotonous otherwise. It had some cubed Chicken Meat and Herbs but might be a little too overwhelmed for one to finish the dish entirely. We decided not to leave the restaurant without trying the classic French dessert- Crepe Suzette. And we were not disappointed at all! In fact, we thought it was so good- the sauce was thick and rich, backed by the tangy Tangerine flavor... not cloyingly sweet but just hitting the spot right. Andrée Restaurant-Brasserie is definitely a place that I'd like to revisit again.
