With the holy month of Ramadan approaching- when everyone celebrates togetherness over sumptuous delights. At Bertam Resort and Water Park Penang, the culinary team has prepared a big Ramadan buffet spread for guests to celebrate this auspicious month. Led by Chef Khairul (Director of Culinary), Ramadan Buffet Dinner Maharajan Al At Am features a fusion of Malaysian and Moroccan cuisines with more than 150 types of dishes- served across 25 live action stalls (with 5 rotating menus throughout the holy month). Amongst the highlights of the buffet, guests can look forward to the Moroccan delights (like Lamb marinated with 25 traditional Moroccan spices and Harissa), Chicken Mandi- Nasi Talam, Yellow Lamb, Om Ali and Banana Khunafa. On top of that, expect to see a great variety of Malaysian favorites like Udang Masak Lemak, Ikan Goreng Tepung, Sotong Qhabang, Rendang Daging Nyiok Sangai, Gulai Kawah- Kari Kepala Ikan Salmon etc. Seats are limited, early reservation is recommended.

Guests will be spoilt for choices here at Bertam Resort and Water Park Penang. It will be a tough decision to make on what to try for the Ulam and Kerabu but leave plenty of stomach space for the main dishes. It is a fun and exciting journey to travel from one action live stall to another. We recommend starting with the Ramadan staples like Lemang, to serve with Serunding or even Rendang. Likewise for the case of Bubur Lambuk, Bertam Resort has its own rendition in which they call it Bubur Lambuk Berlauk. The grilled Lamb, also known as Kambing Golek Gantung Malese is not to be missed as well- beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection, a definite hit amongst the guests.
Other homegrown classics that one should not miss are Apom Balik Bangsawan (with savory fillings like Mutton Keema, Chicken Serunding and the sweeter version filled with Oreo, Tutti Fruitti etc). Hot works called Belanga Hangit offers Mee Goreng or Koay Teow Goreng Longgok, Cucur Warisan corner dishes out hot from the wok- Cokodok Pisang Kelapa Parut. For a change of flavor, guests can look forward to the Japanese and Chinese food corners as well. An array of Sushi like Cheese Mentai, California Rolls, Dim Sum and Dumplings are available.
For sweet treats, check out the Kurma Bread Butter Pudding with Orange Toffee Syrup, Coconut Panna Cotta with Mango Salsa, Kurma Lok-Lok (Kurma with Chocolate Fondue), Serawa Durian Pulau with Benggali Bread etc... these are on top of the usual spread of delicious cakes, ice cream and fresh fruits.
Apart from the culinary offerings, Bertam Resort has also prepared a dedicated prayer space equipped with ablution facilities and an Imam to guide Muslims in Maghrib, Isya' and Tarawih prayers. In addition to that, guests are also welcome to join the uplifting Tazkirah sessions held every Friday and Saturday. On the entertainment- there will be live band by P.Radhi and Friends, performing a repertoire from the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee throughout the Ramadan month while basking in the presence of renowned entertainer- Datuk Professor Adjunct Aznil Haji Nawawi, who is the ambassador of Bertam Resort and Water Park Penang.
