Morpheus Restaurant @ Abu Siti Lane, Georgetown, Penang.

Contemporary casual restaurant- Morpheus Restaurant at Abu Siti Lane has been offering dinner service since its opening in April 2023 but the restaurant has recently rolled out its lunch menu- lesser choices but wallet-friendlier, providing an opportunity for curious diners to test the depth of the water. The lunch menu offers mains starting from Rm 23, along with a small selection of appetizers and a small beverage menu. In case you are wondering- diners can also opt to order the usual dinner menu on top of the newly introduced lunch menu. Comfortable dining atmosphere with quality food, Morpheus is worth a visit.

Sous-Vided Chicken Breast with Pumpkin Ginger Sauce, Roasted Zucchini and Corns (Rm 28)

We started off light with Tuna with Quinoa which has Sriracha-marinated raw Tuna, served with beautifully cooked, fluffy Quinoa and Zucchini Brunoise/ Cherry Tomatoes. We like the idea and the dish felt refreshingly light. It would be better if there's more crunch added to the dish for a better texture. The Fettucine Carbonara was probably our favorite- delicately creamy but not overly so. The Bacon introduced a crispy texture and a smoky-saline touch to the dish. Our only complain- the dish might be a little too small to fit for lunch portion. We have also had the Sous-Vided Chicken Breast with Pumpkin sauce and greens. The Chicken Breast was beautifully cooked with tender-soft texture, the Corn, Zucchini and Eggplant were expertly roasted to an addictive crunch with a burst of juice. It would be perfect if extra pinch of salt could be added to the Chicken Breast.
