Taking over the former Win Win Soya spot near Lebuh Cecil, Qi Li Xiang Dumpling Noodle House (七里香饺子面馆) is a modest eatery focusing on a small menu of China Chinese–inspired noodle dishes. Diners can expect options such as Scallion Oil Noodles and Chongqing Mala Noodles, alongside dumplings that are made to order, giving them a freshly prepared touch. Prices remain fairly reasonable, making it an accessible place for a casual meal in the area. That said, while the offerings are decent enough for a quick bite, the overall quality feels fairly ordinary and doesn’t quite leave a particularly strong impression.
Spicy Corn Noodles with Hard Boiled Eggs 麻辣玉米面条加蛋 (RM13.90)
Scallion Oil Noodles with Braised Beef 葱油拌面加牛肉 (RM10.50)
Pan Fried Dumplings 生煎包 (RM9.50)
Xiao Long Bao 小笼包 (RM9.50)
The dumplings are made to order so expect to wait a bit. We had both dry and soup noodles; we found the dry one was better seasoned. Though the soup version had a good spicy punch, the broth lacked depth and a little under seasoned. The texture of the noodles was good though. The Xiao Long Bao was fine; it had a bit of meat juice hidden under the dumpling skin but the Pan Fried version fared slightly better. The base was crisp and somehow addictive, though inevitably greasy. All in all, everything felt okay-average, nothing overly exciting.
