Hidden within Taman Free School’s residential blocks, Kim Shen Food Enterprise keeps things simple with a small local menu that rotates around familiar comfort picks like Lam Mee, Jawa Mee, Curry Mee and Nasi Lemak, with certain items such as Bubur Cha Cha reserved for weekends. Prices are refreshingly reasonable, making it an easy option when you just want an inexpensive local quick fix without venturing far. That said, nothing here feels particularly exciting or destination-worthy— it’s more the kind of humble neighbourhood spot that serves its purpose when convenience and affordability matter more than novelty.
We've had a few of their signature dishes, the Pumpkin Jawa Mee was okay- the consistency of the sauce was good and it was reasonably seasoned. The Lam Mee was not shabby either but it was slightly too greasy to my liking. They seemed to be very generous with the Pork Belly. The Kedah Curry Mee was unfortunately not to my liking. I thought the soup was under-seasoned. For desserts- the Bubur Cha Cha and Black Glutinous Rice are only available on weekends. Both were alright. They were very generous with the toppings in Bubur Cha Cha, great value.
