Tucked away in Chai Leng Park, Teik Heng Dim Sum is a no-frills dim sum spot that has quietly stood the test of time for over 40 years, drawing in loyal regulars who come purely for the food. Expect Teo Chew–influenced dim sum offerings such as Chai Koay and various Teo Chew–style dumplings, alongside familiar classics, all priced affordably and served without fuss. Ambiance is clearly not the focus here — some tables even sit close to the alley — but the consistently solid dim sum and old-school charm are what keep this place going strong after decades.
Chives Dumplings (Rm 3.80)
Fried Shrimp Rolls (Rm 4.60)
Fried Fish Balls (Rm 3.80) and Siew Mai (Rm 3.80)
Har Kaw (Rm 5)
Yong Tofu (Rm 5)
Chee Cheong Fun (Rm 5)
Dang Gui Chicken Feet (Rm 5)
The order system can be a bit chaotic for first timers- simply wait for the servers to come to your table and order your preferred Chinese Tea. Then head to the counter to grab your steamed Dim Sum. At the end of the meal, the bill goes by the number of plates on the table. We recommend trying their signature Chives Dumplings or Ku Cai Chai Koay; the Dumplings were generously filled with Chives. The Chicken Feet was fun- it has this Dang Gui aroma, which made it really unique. None of the dishes disappoint but not something that I would go out of my way just for the food.
