Kenny Hills Bakers, a familiar name among Klang Valley’s café-goers, has recently made its way to Penang, bringing along its signature artisanal bakes and cozy ambiance. Strategically housed in a bungalow near upper Penang road in the heart of Georgetown, the interior exudes a rustic charm, with wooden furnishings and warm lighting creating an inviting atmosphere. The menu features a variety of options, from hearty mains to delicate pastries; though the prices lean towards higher end. Nevertheless, it is still a welcoming spot for both casual brunches and indulgent dessert sessions.
We were very disappointed with the Pizza. We thought the Three Cheese Pizza could be cheesier; though the Blue Cheese-stench was quite obvious. The Pizza dough and edges were overly dry to our liking. The Flat Bread was slightly better but we were underwhelmed with the small pieces of Burrata Cheese. The Duck Prosciutto had not done much in its aid either. We certainly expected something better in value given the price. The Fish and Chips were nothing out of the ordinary either. The only main dish that we enjoyed was the Pesto Pasta... perfectly creamy and expertly cooked. The Pesto flavor stood out and the seasoning was spot on. The best seller- Peach Strudel was delicious too. The pastry was flaky-crisp while the cream was amazingly done. It appears that they serve better desserts than mains.
