A new venture by the Saigon House Cuisine restaurants- Com Ga Mi Mi House specializes in serving Hoi An-style Chicken Rice. The menu is very straight-forward... offering only Hoi An-style Chicken Rice with extra condiments. Diners can also opt to change the Chicken Rice base to Noodle base. Additionally, diners are allowed to order items from Saigon House Cuisine (next door) and they will serve to you in Com Ga Mi Mi House.
Hoi An-style Chicken Rice (Rm 16.90/ without Giblets)
Grilled Chicken with Noodles (Rm 18.90/ without Giblets)
Sweet Taro Ball Dessert (Rm 7)
Each serving of the Hoi An-style Chicken Rice comes with tangy Salad, fresh Herbs; every order comes with a cup of Vietnamese Tea. The Chicken Rice has a nice aroma, the yellow hue was probably from the use of Turmeric. Nothing out of the ordinary for the Chicken but the Rice has an addictive sticky texture and Chicken Oil aroma. We like the condiments but could not understand the presence of Kim Chi here but the combo worked for us. For a change, we had the instant noodle base with Grilled Chicken and we liked it better. The instant noodles were finer than the ones here but the Grilled Chicken felt more well-seasoned and worked well with the tangy Chili dip. We ended the meal with the Sweet Taro Ball dessert served in Coconut Milk. The texture was a little odd for us and there was a layer of oil floating on the Coconut Milk which was an unpleasant experience (probably over-heated the Coconut Milk).
