E Farm Restaurant 森苑饭庄 @ Genting Sempah, Bentong, Pahang.

There are plenty of options when it comes to Chinese restaurants at Bentong area (be it Genting Sempah or Gohtong Jaya) but E Farm Restaurant 森苑饭庄 is one of the popular choices. Tucked away from the main road of Genting Sempah, it requires some skills to navigate and to look for the restaurant (expect to pass through a narrow, windy and rough jungle road). The restaurant is quite big and could accommodate many tables, the place is especially busy on weekends. Menu wise, E Farm offers a big variety of Chinese dishes as well as a big selection of fresh river fish. The prices are of restaurant-standard with some dishes priced on the higher side. Worth checking out if you do enjoy fresh and quality fresh river fish.

Steamed Wild Tenggalan (Rm 17/ 100 gm)

Steamed Free Range Chicken with Ginger Paste (Rm 55/ half bird)

Signature Tofu with Chinese Pickled Radish (Rm 20/ small)

Passion Fruit Juice (Rm 6)

Many of the river fishes were sold out on our visit so we had the Wild Tenggalan. We did not have much option but to go for the 1.7kg so a whole fish costs us more than RM280. Fortunately, the fish was fresh and the premium Soy Sauce went well with the fish. We were satisfied with the quality of the fish. The Steamed Free Range Chicken with Ginger Paste was also good; they were very generous with the Ginger Paste, almost every piece of the Chicken was covered with Ginger Paste. Though some of us thought it was overly gingery and the heat was strong.
