Mashitta K Food is a new spot where Korean food lovers get to explore in the Bukit Mertajam neighborhood. The restaurant offers quite a big Korean menu, from the usual street food fare like Tteokbokki to Kimbap, Fried Chicken or even Jeon but there is one particular item on the menu that is unique. Mashitta K Food is probably the only Korean restaurant that offers Dak Han Mari (Korean One Chicken Soup), a popular delicacy at Dong Dae Mun Seoul. The place is air-conditioned and suitable for any occasion, the prices are slightly on the higher side though.

The Dak Han Mari is modified to suit the local taste buds. It has many other stuff added, like Tteokbokki, Soy Bean sticks, White Fungus and Wood Ear Mushrooms etc. The broth was something like a rich, invigorating clean-tasting Chicken broth. We were informed by the proprietor that no salt was used in the broth. It was good on its own but better with the addition of the Chili dip. Each serving of the Dak Han Mari comes with a serving of either Rice or Instant Noodles. We've also had other dishes like Kim Chi Jeon and Dae Bak Kimbap; both were okay but not outstanding. The former one lacked the crispiness and it was a little monotonous/flat. The Kimbap was good in texture but we did not like the factor that the Purple Cabbage was dressed in Mayo, we thought it somehow spoilt the overall taste and would prefer some Bulgogi or Chicken, for a meatier bite.
