One new spot to satiate your China Chinese food craving will be at Mai Xiang China Chinese Cuisine 麦香中国私厨美食, Lorong Carnarvon. This new restaurant is run by a China Chinese family, offering mainly China Chinese delights like Dumplings, Noodles and various snacks. The price points are very reasonable considering the portion, the place is also fully air-conditioned and comfortable to dine in. Worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

We had both Sze Chuan Noodles and Scallion Oil Noodles; the former one was served cold with Ma-La Chili Oil elements while the latter one has a hint of sweetness. We prefer the Sze Chuan Noodles more- great texture for the noodles and the seasoning was spot on. The Scallion Oil Noodles lacked the Scallion Oil punch, we thought it was overly mild to our liking. Nonetheless, we thought the Noodle dishes offer great values in return, given that each bowl costs RM8 only. The Dumplings were less-impressive- while the Cucumber and Prawn Dumplings offer a refreshing bite (due to Cucumber), the Dumpling skin was overly slouchy to our liking. It was almost too soft to scoop it up. The Crab Soup Dumpling on the other hand, was overly dry. It lacked the "soup" element in it and the skin was overly hard.
