Four Beans 四夕豆花, a brand from southern Malaysia has recently expanded its business operations up north to Penang... opening a new branch at Jalan Krian, Georgetown. The brand brings along its signature Tofufah (Soy Bean Pudding), Soya Milk as well as shaved ice desserts. It lured in a big crowd during its first few opening weeks, with long queues spotted right outside the place. No mains are served, mainly chilled sweet treats perfect to put a stop on the sultry tropical heat. There are plenty of desserts on offer and they are all reasonably priced. But do take note if you are visiting the place in a big group, it is less accommodating as the place is pretty cramped with less-comfortable seating.

One of the best sellers, the Tofufah with various Taro (Yam) condiments. We had the Taro with Pandan Tofufah and we must say we enjoyed it a lot. The condiments were lovely and importantly, the Tofufah was silky smooth and light on the palate. It was lightly sweetened but a separate serving of Chrysanthemum-syrup was served... along with some Soya Milk. The concoction felt easy on the palate and definitely guilt-free. We've also tried the Matcha Shaved Ice with Condiments- despite bold Matcha flavor, we thought it was a little overly sweet to our liking. To compare both orders side by side, it seems like we prefer the Tofufah more.
