The crowd gathers as early as 9 am and the queue will slowly build up This is one of the best best-kept secrets from the folks living in the neighborhood. Foo House started as a stall in one of the Coffee Shops in Sungai Ara, the business expanded and they have since moved to this proper lot facing the main road. With better resources, Foo House is able to introduce more dishes and toppings to their signature Pandan Nasi Lemak. Do not be taken aback by the queue, it does not take that long. Should you wish to avoid long queues, reach the place before noon as the place is most packed during lunch hours.

While diners can choose the standard Nasi Lemak package as shown on the wall, many regular patrons tend to choose their own preferred toppings. We recommend trying their Clam Curry and Prawn Curry, both were expertly cooked. The Seafood was very fresh and would work well with the Nasi Lemak. Their Nasi Lemak curry carries an indelible sweetness that magically works well with Nasi Lemak. None of their dishes disappoint, everything was well-seasoned and the Sambal Belacan became unnecessary. The curries were good to spoon over rice. As for the rice, the Pandan-infused Nasi Lemak was beautifully cooked with coconut milk fragrance, perfectly "lemak" or aromatic and worthy to be called Nasi Lemak. One of the few places in Penang where you will get such good quality Nasi Lemak.
