Folks from Parit Buntar should not be new to the name- Wake Cup Coffee Shop, the cafe was once active there but had since relocated to its current location at Georgetown and rebranded as Chérie. The cafe is currently located at the junction to Lebuh Katz and Jalan C.Y. Choy. The new kid in town has an aesthetically minimalist interior decor with every corner offers photography opportunity. During its soft-launch period, the cafe offers light food with cakes and desserts. A comfortable space to wind down or to catch up with friends... if you don't mind paying a little more.

Gochujang Chicken with Sunny Side Up Toast (Rm 23)

We had our lunch before visiting the place so the limited options on the food menu did not bother us. To try out their savory item, we had the Gochujang Chicken with Sunny Side Up... served with a piece of Toast. It consisted of some shredded Chicken meat dressed in Gochujang sauce, roasted Potatoes, some fresh Lettuce, Rocket Salad and perfectly cooked Sunny Side Up. The entire concoction felt a tad too dry in texture but this may be a good news for weight-watchers though. For sweet, we had the Mini Strawberry Milk Sponge which turned out to be quite good. We especially enjoyed the cream, we thought it was very light and easy on the palate with bold milky flavor. Our only complaint was the price.
