Le Dux Patisserie @ Beach Street, Georgetown, Penang.

Le Dux Patisserie is one of the latest spots where cake lovers can check out- the Patisserie churns out freshly baked pastries and cakes on a daily basis. The Patisserie is located at Beach Street, right next to Laksa Ong Penang. It opens as early as 9 am but if you are keen to try their freshly baked Croissant, visit the place after 1 PM or call to avoid disappointment. The interior decor and layout are exactly like any other cafes, there is a display fridge right next to the order counter... showing an array of petite cakes; certain flavors do contain alcohols so do check with the server before placing any orders. Prices are on the steeper side but the cakes commensurate with superior quality.

The Croissant was lovely- very buttery and flaky; the crust fell apart at the nudge of a fork. Le Dux Patisserie's Croissants are limited in stock daily so be there earlier if you wish to try the pastry. The Classic Tiramisu contains alcohols (we were told that they used 2 types of alcohols in it); it has a rich, creamy texture backed by bold Coffee flavor and lastly, a mellow but discernible liquor aroma. Good but not sure if its Rm28-good. The Matcha Burnt Cheese Cake offers a better value. Though the Cheese Cake is very small in size but big in flavor. The Matcha flavor was so distinctive and the cake was very cheesy-creamy, almost like a Matcha cream. The sweetness was cleverly balanced and we must say we enjoyed it a lot.
