LE VENUE by Petr Fehér @ Lebuh Tye Sin, Georgetown, Penang.

Le Venue is a popular choice when it comes to fine-dining in Penang, the restaurant is helmed by Chef Petr Fehér whom has trained and worked in different countries all over the world. Before Le Venue, Chef Petr was working in a 5-Star Hotel in Penang as the Executive Chef. Bringing with him the expertise and experience, Le Venue has proven to be a success after a few years since the opening of the restaurant. The European-inspired menu melds various elements and cuisines to create dishes that will delight the palate as well as the senses. Early reservation is recommended for big group of diners.

Many Thanks to Le Venue for hosting us that evening.

Seafood Paella (Rm 268 for 2 pax/ pre-order of 1 day in advance is required)

French Cod Loin, Asari Clams amd Chorizo (Rm 128)

Spanish Iberico Pork Chop (Rm 88)

Whole Free Range Organic Chicken (Rm 82)

Japanese Royal Miyagi Oyster (Rm 25 per piece)

Abalone and Gold, Beetroot, Squid Ink Noodles (Rm 68)

Seared Foie Gras "Rougie", Apple and Cherry Sauce (Rm 92)

Oyster lovers would be excited to know that Le Venue serves exquisite fresh Royal Miyagi Oysters- sweet, plump and best enjoyed with a touch of Caviar and perhaps, some spicy Thai seafood sauce. To add some "Ong" into this festive season, try their Abalone and Gold, Beetroot, Squid Ink Noodles. Expertly cooked Squid Ink Spaghetti served with a refreshing Beetroot sauce and crowned with an Abalone. It's not easy to find a good restaurant that serves good Foie Gras in Penang but Le Venue is one of them. Using Rougie Foie Gras, the Goose liver is pan-seared and served with a sweet-tangy Cherry Sauce paired with Apple. Definitely a good start to the ensuing feast.

The Mains are equally exciting at Le Venue. Things would not go wrong with their French Cod Loin, Asari Clams and Chorizo. The Cod is thickly cut and pan-seared with French Butter, the fish is fresh with an instant melt-in-the-mouth texture. For seafood lovers and sharing, the Seafood Paella is another good option. One day advance pre-order is required for this dish. Cooked using Red Snapper broth, Chef Petr does not add any artificial flavoring or seasoning to his dishes and it is reflected in this dish. The Saffron-flavored rice is packed with Seafood flavors, almost like drinking the real broth!
