Kyodai Ramen 哥哥の拉面 @ Kimberley Street, Georgetown, Penang.

Ramen lovers would be glad to know that there's a new Ramen restaurant in town-  Kyodai Ramen 哥哥の拉面, the Ramen specialist has quite a few Ramen options for diners to choose from... as well as some Japanese delights. Expect to find some classic flavors like Tonkotsu, Sapporo Miso and Spicy Ramen... items are reasonably priced and probably more economical than some bigger Ramen establishments in town. A worth-exploring place for those who seek for a bowl of decent Ramen without putting a dent on the wallet.

Curry Udon (Rm 15.90)

Kyodai Special (Rm 26.90)

Dashi Maki (Rm 7.90)

Their signature dish- Kyodai Special consists of a generous amount of Ramen toppings... with a spicy broth. The broth was nicely seasoned and the Ramen noodles were expertly cooked; we thought the concoction was addictively delicious. We also had a serving of the Curry Udon... which was not too shabby. The consistency of the Curry was good- not too thick nor diluted, worked perfectly with the al-dente Udon. The Curry Udon however, was a little monotonous towards the end. It is best shared with others. The Dashi Maki was a little different- the usual Tamagoyaki was on the sweeter side but Kyodai Ramen's rendition veered towards the salty side, not bad if you are looking for a change.
