"Bringing in the English Breakfast culture from Manchester to Penang" is the tagline of Tomorrow English Cafe, a new cafe at Prangin Lane. We were made known that the proprietor runs a cafe in Manchester and now, opening a branch in Penang... serving authentic English Breakfast items. Expect to find very English delicacies like the Black Pudding and Yorkshire Pudding etc. The menu is a little small but more than good enough for a Breakfast or Brunch. Environment-wise, its pretty much like a standard cafe but pet owners would be glad to know that the cafe is a pet-friendly cafe.
We started off with the Iconic British Bloomer, served with Cranberry Cream Cheese and Garlic Herb Whipped Cream; the bread is crusty on the outside and densely soft inside. It was fresh and the texture was lovely; we prefer the Cranberry Cream Cheese over the Garlic Herb Whipped Cream, the latter one was nothing out of the ordinary. The Classic Full English came in a big serving portion... with Sunny Side Up, Baked Beans, Tomatoes, sauteed Mushrooms, Streaky Bacon, Black Pudding, Sausage and some Toasts. The Black Pudding was too exotic and exquisite for my untrained palate, the rest were alright and pretty straight-forward. For meal ender, we had the Whiskey Cream Cheese Cake and we absolutely enjoyed it. The Cake was moist with a faint Whiskey flavor but the Cream Cheese was expertly done, not too sweet, just nice to complement the cake.
