No trip to Switzerland is complete without having a taste of the traditional Graubundner Nut Cake, a type of sweet, caramelized nut-filled pastry in Switzerland. One of best places to try one would be Backerei Konditorei Schneider's. The famous Graubundner Nut Cake basically consists of a Caramelized Walnuts encased in a buttery, flaky Pie pastry. It's sweet, nutty with an alluring buttery fragrance. Schneider also has an array of classic Swiss pastries on offer, if you have a sweet tooth, this place is worth a visit.
Start with the Caramel- Butter, Sugar and Lemon Juice

Not as hard as we thought but the key to a successful, delicious Graubunder Nut Cake would be the quality ingredients, especially the butter. If you are a serious foodie who wants to learn more about the local delicacies, make your way to Fleischzentrum, the one and only slaughterhouse in Davos Klosters. Not that the slaughtering process matters, the real draw here is the authentic Graubunden Dried Meat. All products are made in-house with their very own recipes.
