Housed in one of the huge bungalows along Burmah Road (next to Follow Me), the newly opened Master Keong 强师傅汤阁 offers a classic Chinese menu, featuring many familiar Chinese stir-fry dishes along with a series of slow-boiled Soup. The air-conditioned place is very spacious and could easily accommodate large groups. Prices are mid-range standard but the ample parking right outside the restaurant is definitely a plus.
Chicken with Pork Ribs Ginseng Soup 鲜人参炖乌鸡汤 (Rm 38.90)
Stir Fried Noodles 香炒面线 (Rm 15.90/ small)
Sweet and Sour Chicken 酸甜鸡球 (Rm 19.90/ small)
Stir Fried Qing Long Vegetables 清炒青龙菜 (Rm 15.90/ small)
We like the fact that the soup was served piping hot, it even comes with a stand to keep it warm throughout the meal. The Chicken with Pork Ribs Ginseng Soup we had was okay, the flavors were there but we thought the soup was a little greasier than expected. The Stir Fried Noodles and Sweet and Sour Chicken were equally delicious though; the former dish was expertly cooked with the alluring Wok Hei while the latter dish was nicely executed- the Chicken was crisp and the sauce paired perfectly well with the Chicken. There were some hits and misses but generally, a pretty decent Chinese restaurant.
