With a name like Wholly Cow, it paints a picture on what the dining spot could potentially offer... it brings local Beef Noodles from the local hawker scene to a proper restaurant. With a homely and casual decor, the Beef Noodle specialist offers a range of local delights... including the classic local Beef Noodles, Chicken Noodles and the playfully improved Beef Rendang Noodles. While the menu is pretty small with limited choices, they are constantly on the lookout to upgrade their offering. Absolutely flavorful and comforting broth with delicious Beef on a wallet-friendly price scale, this is exactly the place that I would want to visit on a casual basis.

Rendang Gu Bak Koay Teow (Rm 12.90)
Wholly Cow's signature Gu Bak Koay Teow is exactly how one would expect a bowl of delicious classic Beef Noodles would taste like. The broth was amazing.... with a robust meat flavor. The accompanying Sprouts and Lettuce offered a juicy crunch to the noodles. But the real draw was the home-made Chili dip... with a strong fiery punch. Also, there was not much oil swimming in the broth so I guess that's a plus for me. The Rendang Gu Bak Koay Teow was equally good, the curry sauce was at its perfect state... not too thick nor watery, just good enough to go with the noodles. It was however, a little flat towards the end... flavors were too bold and it appeared to be too taxing on the palate.
