Ardent fans of barbecue meat need not travel far from town to get some good variety of smoky goodies. Morganfield's was made famous from its much beloved classic rib but have now expanded to offer many wonderful Western options. Diners whom prefer a more outdoorsy ambiance would be glad to know that Morganfield's at Gurney Paragon Mall offers a spectacular view- wooden, small communal tables overlooking the fountain right in front of the mall and if you are lucky, you might catch the performances offered by the mall in central square. Whether day time of evening, the place is one of the perfect spots to wind down or to catch up over a pint of chilled Beer.
Let's be realistic, everyone comes to Morganfield's to have their Ribs and we did the same. The Ribs were perfectly done- carefully marinated and not overly sauced. The smokey-garlicky-sweet flavor was ingrained into each bite. The meat was most tender and flaky, pulling the meat off the bones was effortless. Couple the aptly delicious rack of meat with a huge glass of chilled Beer with cozy ambiance as background... bliss will be had by all.
Fourplay (Rm 48.90)
With a name like "Fourplay", it's inevitable that the appetizer sparks awkwardness but wait till you see the content. The appetizer comes in four types of nibbles- Spicy Chicken Wings, Russet Potato Boats, Beer-battered Onion Rings and Nachos with Crab & Spinach dip. We love the Crab & Spinach dip, it was creamy with just the right amount of Cheese sprinkled. As far as salinity was concerned, we thought the dip was carefully seasoned... with a sleek-mellow seafood sweetness infused. Equally delicious was the Onion Rings, the batter was thin and the item was deep fried till perfection, we enjoyed ours with Sour Cream and Curry Mayonnaise dip. Again... another order that goes perfectly well with Beer.

A truly horrible experience. Our party was refused happy hour drink cuz they say it Public Holiday but that doesn't start for two days yet.
