Tea-Tac-Toe @ Sungai Dua, Penang.

If you are finding a place to chill out or spend some quality time with your love ones, but holding on a rather tight budget, you might want to try this cafe out. Tea-Tac-Toe cafe has a very good and cozy ambiance, it feels like you are staying at home due to the homely decorations, not only as such, they do have comfortable couch/sofa too, as well as some card games/monopoly/mind trick games etc. The only draw back was there are only drinks available in this cafe, although there are some chocolates available but there are no other filling stuff. Anyway, the main idea here was to provide customers with a cozy place to spend some precious time with friends and family. As for drinks, they are serving inexpensive Taiwanese Bubble Tea, which comes in a lot of choices and toppings. The place itself is also a book shop for comics, one can buy magazines and comics here too. WiFi and TV games (Nintendo Wii) are also available, while WiFi is free all Tea-Tac-Toe's customers but you will have to pay if you wish to play the Nintendo Wii. They have three outlets in total, for more information on other outlets, please check on their facebook page, link will be provided below, in the additional information column.

Honeydew Milk Tea (Rm4.30). Similarly to most of the bubble tea outlets, one can opt to reduce the sugar level to suit one's preference. As for this Honeydew Milk Tea (normal level), it was way too sweet in my opinion, it would be much better if they could slightly reduce the sweetness even though its normal level. I would strongly recommend one to reduce the sugar level if you wish to savor this drink. Flavor-wise, was pretty good as they have successfully provided the strong honeydew flavor.

Green Tea with Aloe Vera (Rm2.80) was a hit among us who tasted all the three drinks. It was very easy to be accepted by us as the drink has a very mild and refreshing green tea flavor, yet, the sweetness was perfectly okay to cover the bitterness of the tea. The aloe vera complimented the drink well too, which was to provide additional chewy texture to the "dull" drink. I always prefer aloe vera over pearls, as aloe vera is obviously much more healthier compared to pearls. Recommended, cheap and good.

Opted to try their special product designed for Chinese New Year too, which was their Honey Lime (Rm4.80 for 700cc), which they have replaced the pearls for aloe vera for me as pearls were currently unavailable that day. The drink was very normal and average for me, it tasted something like the traditional chinese pickled lime drink. No doubt, its pretty cheap for the portion and the toppings added but in terms of taste, the green tea still prevails.

Apart from the drinks, we had some additional chocolates too, it was rather "insincere" for them to just place the chocolates on our tables instead of placing the chocolates on a plate for us. It loses some marks from me in terms of presentation and sincerity. Each of the chocolate was Rm1.20, taste was below average. The chocolate was way too sweet to my favor, the flavor was a bit off the track (particularly the purple and orange one) as well, among the five chocolates we have tried, the black one (garnished with white chocolate chips) was the best and worth of trying.

As mentioned, a lot of amusing games will be provided, we have tried Uno, Scrabble, Monopoly, Poker Cards etc... It was definitely a very good place to kill time and have some fun with your friends or family. As for those who are interested in playing the Nintendo Wii, you can always ask for some information at the counter.
