OE Western Food @ Kimberley Street, Georgetown, Penang.

Previously occupied as Jio Cafe, OE Western Food is the new owner now... offering a completely different menu than its predecessor. The place rolls out a more affordable Western menu, with option priced from Rm 12.90. But of course, with the affordable price range, do not expect the quality to be on par with some restaurants offering above-average premium Western dishes. It is in fact, more like a friendly neighborhood restaurant that offers affordable, localized Western dishes. The place is fully air-conditioned and the seating arrangement is comfortable... could not ask for more especially with that budget friendly price range.

Asian Spicy Chicken Chop (Rm 13.90)

Carbonara with Salmon Fillet (Rm 21.90)

[Top Up Rm 7 to make it a set] Mushroom Soup

[Top Up Rm 7 to make it a set] Chocolate Lava

While the price points for the dishes are relatively low, the serving portion commensurate with the prices too. For mains, we had Asian Spicy Chicken Chop and Carbonara with Salmon Fillet, the former dish was basically fried Chicken Chop topped with a creamy sauce that has a hint of spiciness. It was served with mashed Potatoes and some fresh greens. The sauce was quite unique but the concoction felt a little too greasy to our liking. The Chicken could be juicier as well. As for the Carbonara, the cream sauce was a little too thick and the whole dish was monotonously heavy on the palate.
