Mono Haus @ Sungai Ara, Penang.

Mono Haus is a new café nestled in the quiet neighborhood of Sungai Ara. The space is bright, spacious, and cozy — perfect for casual hangouts or coffee sessions. The menu features a range of familiar café fare, from hearty mains to desserts and coffee, all at reasonable prices. While the food still has some room for improvement, the coffee and desserts make it a pleasant spot to unwind.

The Cubano Bagel had some pulled Beef and we thought it was quite good. It was seasoned and worked well with the Bagels. The Fries were very crisp and that certainly added a bit of marks to the dish. The Gochujang Chicken Pasta was a disappointment though. We could taste the chili heat but the dish was a little monotonous- we were hoping for some Onion crunch or probably some herbaceous elements to be included. It was very flat towards the end. The French Toast was very different than the traditional ones. Mono Haus' felt like a drier version with sprinkles of Cinnamon Sugar, for a moment- we thought we were having some Cinnamon Roll in the form of Toast. The dip had not done much in its aid, probably a simple scoop of Ice Cream or a dollop of fresh Cream would work better than the dip.
