Tucked away in a serene neighborhood, Dai You Bin has withstood the test of time and is often regarded as one of the best dim sum restaurants in Sungai Petani. The brand has been around for quite a number of years, drawing large crowds with its air-conditioned comfort and extensive selection of homemade dim sum crafted by in-house chefs. From timeless classics to creative variations, the dishes come in generous portions at reasonable prices, making it a worthy spot for dim sum lovers in the area.

None of the dishes disappoint- we were in fact, pleasantly surprised by the quality. For the prices, we thought they offer great value and we could not even find something as good as this in Penang. My personal favorites and recommendations go to the Steamed Squid Balls and Portuguese Egg Tarts. The former one had a soft-bouncy texture but we could really taste the seafood umami. Portuguese Egg Tarts are their best sellers and signature dish, the skin was amazingly flaky and crisp while the inner Egg Custard filling was reasonably sweetened.
