Located in the bustling area of Dato Keramat, Chias offers a creative mix of local Malaysian classics and Middle Eastern-inspired dishes. Expect penang-style favourites like Teluk Kumbar Mee Udang, alongside items with a Middle Eastern twist such as Shawarma Wraps and Fattah Rice. The menu strikes a practical balance—not overly extensive, but varied enough to satisfy. Everything is reasonably priced, and the dining space is fully air‑conditioned, making it a comfortable spot to indulge in this eclectic mash-up.
The signature Mee Udang comes with 5 different levels of spiciness, we had the level 4 and we thought the chili heat was good enough (but not overwhelming). Level 5 (the highest level) might be tough though. The gravy was delicious, almost like the ones in Teluk Kumbar. The serving portion commensurate with the price- which can be shared between 2 small eaters. It ticked all the boxes, definitely a spot closer to town where you can satiate your cravings for Mee Udang. We also had their Shawarma-like Wrap. While the Beef could be more tender, we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that they served a generous portion of Beef in the wrap. The seasoning and sauces were spot on, something that we would not mind to eat on a regular basis.
