Tucked along Kampung Malabar, Thai House Cafe is a modest Thai eatery helmed by a team from Hatyai. The menu leans towards Southern Thai flavours, offering a variety of spicy, tangy dishes that stay true to their roots. The air-conditioned space provides a comfortable setting, though portions tend to be on the smaller side. Prices are reasonable, and the place sees a steady crowd, especially on weekends.
None of the dishes disappoint. We particularly enjoyed the Tom Yum Seafood and Miang Kham with Fried Fish. The former one was a crowd-pleaser; whole Siakap being deep fried to a crisp and served with various Miang Kham condiments. You can either enjoy it as it is or to wrap it like how you would enjoy a Thai Miang Kham. The Tom Yum Seafood was delicious too, it had all the boxes ticked. If we must nitpick, we would prefer it to be spicier. This place is definitely worth checking out.
