Nohm Thai Boat Noodle @ Abu Siti Lane, Georgetown, Penang.

Nohm Thai Boat Noodle is not new- the restaurant has set foot at Butterworth for a couple of years and they have just opened a second branch at Abu Siti Lane. The outlet at Abu Siti Lane offers a rather big Thai menu with a focus on Thai Boat Noodle as well as the usual Thai delights. Dishes are reasonably priced; a convenient spot in the heart of Georgetown for a bowl of lip-smacking Thai Boat Noodle.

Chicken Boat Noodles (Rm 13.90)

Pad Thai (Rm 14.90)

Yum Mama Salad- Seafood (Rm 17.90)

The signature Boat Noodle was delicious, we had the Chicken version and Nohm's rendition came with fine slices of raw Bitter Gourd. The broth had a bold herbaceous aroma and it was well seasoned. It worked well with the Bitter Gourd surprisingly, it did not feel bitter at all. In fact, it introduced a sleek refreshing and crunchy touch to the broth. We recommend trying their Boat Noodles. The Pad Thai was alright but we did not like the overly wet-moist texture. The flavor was there but just the texture was not ideal. The Yum Mama Salad on the other hand, was a disappointment. The dressing possessed a sharp acidity, making it hard to enjoy the dish.
