L Kitchen 李月香粥麵饭 @ Campbell Street, Georgetown, Penang.

L Kitchen 李月香粥麵饭 at Campbell Street is a true Penang brand that withstood the test of time, the restaurant started their business on the same street 8 years ago (Year 2016) but has since relocated to this new location (few doors away from Cheng Woh Medical Hall). The new place is able to accommodate larger groups with more tables, offering a more spacious and comfortable space to diners. They have also expanded their menu with the expansion (mainly due to larger kitchen space), introducing more Chinese-Cantonese style homecooked dishes while retaining the regulars' favorites. The restaurant is air-conditioned, making it an affordable option for a casual family eat-out.

Many Thanks to L Kitchen for hosting us

Braised Five Spices Pork Belly with Black Fungus 云耳五香焖花腩 (Rm 22/ serves 2)

There are plenty of familiar Chinese dishes here at L Kitchen... suitable for all age range of diners. The signature Steamed Tiger Dragon Grouper with Hor Fun and Soy Sauce is a must-order. Steamed silky smooth Hor Fun with fresh, thick-cut Tiger Grouper and served with premium Soy sauce. The flavor-combo speaks for itself. The soul to this dish lies within the texture of the Hor Fun (cannot be clumpy) and the Soy Sauce (must be flavorful and not overly salty). Glad to say L Kitchen has managed to maintain the quality. The Stir Fried Chicken with Ginger and Black Fungus feels like a homecooked dishes that all moms will cook during family dinner. It is a very straight-forward dish with tender Chicken. L Kitchen uses Po-Po Soy Sauce for this dish, which is very assuring on the quality. True enough, this dish is perfect spooned over rice. Equally addictive is the Stir Fried Prawns with Homemade Spicy Soy Sauce and Chili Padi, a dish with a blend of sweet, salty and spiciness; extra marks for the deveined, fresh and plump Prawns.
