The Soyabean Fusion @ Nibong Tebal, Penang.

The love for Tofu Fah has extended to Nibong Tebal as the town welcomes a new Tofu Fah cafe- The Soya Bean Fusion. The cafe can be found near to the Jawi Toll, a few minute drive away after exiting the toll. The cafe has a modern and cozy interior decor while the menu focuses on Tofu Fah, Soya-products, Waffles and some Japanese Oden. Like any modern Tofu Fah establishments, extra toppings can be added to the Tofu Fah but the purists can always go back to the basics. Wallet-friendly prices and a comfortable space for a treat.

Shaved Soya Bean Ice with Red Beans, Cendol, Peach Gum and Mangoes (Rm 5.50 + 4 toppings/ RM 1.80 per topping)

Original Tofu Fah with Ginger Sugar (Rm 4.90)

Unlike the classic Tofu Fah, the original version comes with some Soya Milk. The purists may not like it but the goal behind this act is to make the texture smoother and easier on the palate. There are 4 options for the Sugar- Ginger Sugar, Brown Sugar, Original Sugar Syrup and Chrysanthemum Sugar. We've also had the Chewy Fusion- basic Tofu Fah topped with extra toppings like Taro Balls, Glutinous Rice Balls and Pearls; for Rm 9.90, we thought the portion was good and offered great value in return. For a change, we also tried the Shaved Ice... made from Soya Milk. The Soya flavor was mild but it worked well with the Brown Sugar. The extra toppings made the sweet treat tasted like some Taiwanese Shaved Ice dessert with chewy elements.
