Harajuku Japanese Restaurant 原宿 at Golden Triangle has been around for quite some time; it is a popular go-to place for those living or working in the neighborhood. The attractive part about Harajuku is its wallet-friendly prices, diners can enjoy a decent Japanese meal for a little over Rm 20; making it ideal for big family. The menu is quite extensive, featuring many familiar Japanese delights including Sushi, Sashimi, Salad, Grills and various Bento sets. A place where you get to satiate your cravings for Japanese food without putting a dent on the wallet.
Our starters were the Egg Salad and Takoyaki; both were fine, the Salad was pretty straight-forward with Wafu Dressing but for Rm 8.90, we thought they were very generous with the portion. The Takoyaki had a crisp texture but we thought they could be more generous with the sauce. The Sushi offered great value, the Salmon Sushi had a thickly sliced Salmon and it was very fresh. The rest of the Sushi did not disappoint too, the Rice was nicely done. On the mains, we had the Salmon Shioyaki Bento Set and Teriyaki Chicken Set. We thought the Salmon could be saltier, it was slightly under-seasoned considering it was a Shioyaki dish. The Japanese Rice was also a little soft-mushy to our liking. The Teriyaki Chicken was okay, though I would personally prefer a thicker Teriyaki sauce. Not complaining for that price though.
