For a healthy-organic vegetarian quick fix, make your way to Senyuman Daun Cafe at Ayer Itam. On the ground floor, Senyuman Daun Cafe carries various organic, healthy products as well as some Microgreens for sale. The cafe is on the upper floor of the shop; it offers a small vegetarian menu in which some dishes will have their home-grown microgreens included. After orders are being placed, the server will pluck, wash and prepare the microgreens to serve; freshness is guaranteed. Comfortable space with inexpensive, healthy options; do check it out if you are into vegetarian food.
The Organic Pesto Rice was something unusual- it carried a bold Basil aroma and mildly seasoned... served with Rempeyek (crispy Peanut Crackers) for the extra bite. It was simple, straight-forward but hearty. The freshly plucked microgreens were served as side, with Japanese Roasted Sesame dressing and a hard boiled Egg. For noodle options, there are a few to choose. We had the spicy version and the noodles were expertly cooked to the right chewy texture. The seasoning was good and not overly strong, worked well with the microgreens. The Focaccia was a let down, believe it was steamed before serving to us and hence, overly soft and moist to our liking.
