Mil Toast House @ The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur.

Popular bakery cafe- Mil Toast House from Seoul (South Korea) has finally landed in Malaysia following their oversea expansion at Bangkok earlier. The brand has chosen The Exchange TRX, the latest premium retail mall in the heart of Kuala Lumpur... opening its first branch in Malaysia. The menu features its signature steamed Bread as well as some sweet dessert Toasts with a selection of beverages. We were there during the opening weekend and due to overwhelming responses, many items on the menu were sold out and we were left a few choices only.

Corn Mayo Toast (Rm 25)

Sweet Potato Steamed Bun (Rm 11.50) and Chestnut Steamed Bun (Rm 14.50)

Grapefruit Tea (Rm 12/ left) and Lemon Tea (Rm 12/ right)

Lemon Myrtle Tea (Rm 12)

The signature Steamed Bread requires a minimum 20 minute wait. The only flavors available were Sweet Potato Steamed Bun and Chestnut Steamed Bun. The steamed Buns were soft and pillowy, served with some Cream Cheese. The Buns barely registered any flavors, they were merely Buns with fillings and in this case- Sweet Potatoes and Chestnuts. The former one contained natural sweetness from the Sweet Potatoes while the latter one had a nuttier bite. Nothing out of the ordinary and probably more for novelty experience. The Corn Mayo Toast fared better in our opinion, the Mayo was sweetened but not overly so, together with the buttered Corn, the combination worked. The edges of the Toast was crispy and a little caramelized.
