Dim Sum Cha Yun 点心茶园 @ Jalan Kebun Bunga, Georgetown, Penang.

Sharing the same space as ESH Landscaping and Big Ben near Botanical Garden, Dim Sum Cha Yun 点心茶园 is the latest addition to the place. Dim Sum Cha Yun started their business operations in late Dec 2022 but has since garnered an appreciate following... mainly family diners and park-goers. There are also ample parking lots available, which could be another reason why this place is popular. In terms of menu, the place does not offer plenty of Dim Sum choices as compared to some established Dim Sum joints in town, but they do have some Chinese stir-fry dishes which make up the numbers. Items are reasonably priced; this place is worth a look.

Special Chee Cheong Fun (Rm 7.80)

Fried Prawn Rolls (Rm 8)

Prawn Dumplings (Rm 8)

Siew Mai (Rm 6)

Lor Mai Kai (Rm 7)

Yong To Fu (Rm 8)

Char Siew Bao (Rm 6)

Char Hor Fun (Rm 12.80)

Some hits and misses for the Dim Sum dishes here, we enjoyed the Chee Cheong Fun... definitely freshly made with good texture. The Fried Prawn Rolls did not disappoint either- crispy with addictive, bouncy Prawn meat filling; equally satisfying was the Lor Mai Kai/ Glutinous Rice Chicken... firm texture and reasonably seasoned. The Prawn Dumplings and Yong Tofu were disappointing though; both had soft-slouchy texture. We also had an extra order of their Char Hor Fun, not too shabby with good Wok Hei. Portion was a little small for us but not complaining for Rm 12.80.
