An antique and furniture shop, the upper floor of Chen The Legacy House at China Street has been converted into a quaint but lovely space for cakes and sweet treats. The cakes and sweet treats are supplied by Bake In A Box by Emily Chen; according to the official introduction on its Facebook page, they bake their cakes using only natural ingredients. Both the cake and beverage selection is not big and the offering is not fixed (for the cakes). Quite a nice space to enjoy some home-baked sweet treats as well as some refreshing drinks (Cold Brews or Palm Wines); even more enjoyable if you love antiques.

The Cempedak Cheese Cake was a seasonal offer; we love the creaminess of the Cake and thought the sweetness was just spot on. But the Cempedak flavor was quite mild and would prefer it to be bolder. The Kuih was alright, not too sweet but nothing overly exciting. For drinks, we had the Toddy with Pickled Kumquat. The concoction was refreshing, the Palm Wine was light and easy on the palate, with a bold citrusy flavor from the pickled Kumquat... it was a refreshing and addictive drink (for the uninitiated, this drink carries small amount of alcohol).
