The Three Wines @ Bay Avenue, Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Both a wine house and a restaurant, The Three Wines is one of the latest additions to Bay Avenue Bayan Lepas. The place has a big selection of imported wine labels and is open for retail. On top of that, the place could accommodate a small group of diners. The menu is not big but more than good enough for those looking for some dishes that could go well with their wines. The price points are slightly above average but quality seems to be pretty consistent. A worth checking out place especially if you like a good sip of wines with decent dishes.

Smoked Duck Breast (Rm 28)

Smoked Spring Chicken (Rm 35)

Healthy Green Salad (Rm 13)

We started with something light- the Healthy Green Salad has a bed of fresh greens served with Balsamic Vinegar glaze... pretty straight forward and nothing out of the ordinary. The Smoked Duck Breast on the other hand, was delicious. The Duck Breast was thickly cut with a tender, juicy texture and served with sweet-sour berry sauce. We also agreed that the smokiness was apparent and it was overall, a dish well-cooked. Like the Duck Breast, the Smoked Spring Chicken had an apparent smokiness as well but the inner part of the Chicken was slightly raw (pinkish) and we had to ask them to cook again. While they argued that the Chicken was intended to be like that, it was still too raw to our tolerance level. We did not quite enjoy this dish.
