Vegie Cafe @ Gurney Drive, Penang.

Occupying a spot at Wang's Hotel Gurney Drive- Vegie Cafe is a newly opened cafe that offers a vegetarian menu. Whether you are in the mood for a Burger, Pasta, Fried Rice, Ramen or even Porridge, the menu is vast and offers a wide range of options for a meat-free meal. The price points fall between the mid-average range with a dish priced slightly above Rm 15.  The dining hall is cozy and air-conditioned- a place where you can comfortably enjoy a casual vege-meal.

Soy Fillet Burger (Rm 20.90)

Inari Ramen Soup (Rm 15.90)

Rainbow Vietnamese Rolls (Rm 12.90)

The Inari Ramen Soup was nicely cooked- the noodles were chewy and the soup was reasonably seasoned. It was a comforting dish but nothing out of the ordinary. We also tried their Rainbow Vietnamese Rolls... fresh greens (Jicama, Cabbage, Carrots, Cucumbers and stir fried Shitake Mushrooms) wrapped in Vietnamese Rice Paper, served with a sweet and sour dip. The overall flavor-combo was refreshing and the crunch was satisfying. Not to shabby for Rm 12.90.
