Pitaya By Juice Code @ Chulia Street, Georgetown, Penang.

Previously located at Beach Street, Juice Code has since relocated to Chulia Street and renamed as Pitaya By Juice Code. They have also expanded the food menu, offering more food and beverage options. Found at the junction to Chulia Street and Seck Chuan Lane, Pitaya has a narrow entrance, the seating arrangement is a little snug on ground floor but its more spacious on the upper floor. The indecisive would have a hard time in choosing what to order from the exhaustive list, the food menu covers from Brunch items to Pasta dishes... Pancakes, Waffles, Desserts and even Smoothie Bowls. Mid range price points but the serving portion is definitely more than generous.

One of its brunch items- the "Scrambled" features Avocado-spread Toast, Scrambled Egg, Chicken Ham, Wedges and Yogurt-Granola. The serving portion was much bigger than expected. The Toast was alright but it gets soggy after a while. The Scrambled Egg was a disappointment- overcooked though reasonably seasoned. The Chicken on the other hand, was pretty salty to our liking. We did not like the presence of Wedges here... seems to be adding guilt to the supposedly-healthy meal. For dessert, we had something different- Tropicana Pancake, a beautifully plated sweet treat filled with colorful fruits. There were not much Pancakes... probably 3 to 4 pieces but the amount of fruits was overwhelming. The sauces were Maple syrup and Chocolate sauce. We washed it down with a refreshing glass of Sunset Smoothie.
