Uncle Don's @ Penang Times Square, Georgetown, Penang.

Popular chain- Uncle Don's has finally landed in Penang, the brand is known for serving ice-cold beer that comes straight from a subzero chiller; not only that it is a haven for drinkers, the food menu comprises of a feast of options (from local delights to Western dishes) at unbeatable prices. The outlet at Penang Times Square has a casual setting- whether indoor air conditioned or outdoorsy atmosphere. While the price points are wallet-friendly, the food quality is of mediocre standard... do not put high hopes on the food but nevertheless, we do agree the place is more suitable for a drink instead of dining.

Giant Buffalo Wings (Rm 12.80)

Malaccan-Portoguese Spicy Bihun (Rm 12.80)

Lasagna Chicken (Rm 12.80)

The daily Set Lunch menu provides good value of money, with every order of the main, the set comes with a cup of drink as well as a scoop of Ice Cream. Malaccan-Portoguese Spicy Bihun is one of the items under the Set Lunch menu. The dish was a little too moist to our liking, the Vermicelli Noodles were too soft in texture, if it was not because of the chopped Chilies, we would have a hard time finishing the dish. Another main we had was the Lasagna Chicken.... drowned in a pool of sauce. We could barely taste the Pasta, the entire dish was drowned with sauce and the Cheese was a little overwhelming. For side order, we had the Giant Buffalo Wings which did not seem giant at all. They were merely ordinary fried Chicken Wings (overcooked version) with some hot sauce.
