Cafe De Ohana @ Bayan Lepas, Penang.

A new space for dog lovers to play with their furkids and have a quick fix meals, Cafe De Ohana can be found along Jalan Tun Dr Awang. The new cafe opens to diners on the ground floor while the space on the second floor is meant for furkids and dog lovers to mingle. There are 2 resident dogs- a Pomeranian and a Sheltie but they are not always there. There are certain hours that the dogs are off duty, so its wiser to follow their social media page for the latest info. On the menu, it has a small list of mains consisting both Chinese and Asian options. Budget watchers would be glad to know that the mains at Cafe De Ohana are affordably priced with generous serving portion. It would be a plus if you are a pet lover otherwise, this place can be a good spot for a quick fix.

We tried both rice and noodle dishes at Cafe De Ohana. The Tricolor Chicken Rice was one of their signature dishes... it was basically stir fried Chicken cubes with Soy sauce and topped with stir fried Cabbage and julienned Omelette. The flavor and seasoning was spot on, the combo was lovely either... and for the price of Rm 13, we thought it was a steal (not to mention the complimentary soup too). Asian Styled Spicy Spaghetti would suit those who prefer bolder flavor and perhaps, a spicy touch. It was basically something like Gong Bao-styled stir fried Spaghetti with Pork and Onions. It was heavily dressed in dark soy sauce with a hint of spiciness (from the Dried Chilies). It was decent but can be a little monotonous towards the end. But overall, we were quite pleased with the quality and the affordable price points here at Cafe De Ohana.
