HB Noodle House 丰味白咖喱面 is not new... probably around since 2018, the Curry Mee specialist has been receiving positive responses from those hanging around in the neighborhood. White Curry Mee is apparently their forte... but the menu features other noodle dishes as well. It provides diners the flexibility to add-on extra toppings like Fish Balls or Seafood to the noodles. The menu is rather big but most dishes are pork-based; price points are of middle-average, ideal for those who wish to get a quick fix in the neighborhood.
White Curry Mee (Rm 8.90) with additional Fish Balls (Rm 2)
Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun (Rm 5.80)
Wan Ton Soup (Rm 5.80)
HB Noodle House's signature White Curry Mee was quite good... creamy and savory; even better with a splash of its home-made Chili paste. It had every box ticked. On the contrary, the Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun was below par. The broth was greasy and the toppings were odd... with a huge chunk of minced Pork in lieu of Chicken (there were some shredded Chicken but in small amount) and loads of Pork Lards. To name it as Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun was a misnomer. The Wan Ton Soup was nothing out of the ordinary either; save for its Curry Mee, other dishes we had did not seem to hit the bar, probably wiser to only go for the Curry Mee.
